Big Chili Cook-Off
Members of Women of Evergreen Businesses served beer during the Big Chili Cook-Off to benefit our local area firefighters. This is a fun way to raise money for the fire departments and get to chat with members of the community!

Dam Duck Derby Duck Sales
Members of Women of Evergreen Businesses sold ducks for the Dam Duck Derby this year. Thank you to WEB member Angela and Swan Realtor Group for allowing us to use your central downtown location!

Paper Shredding & Electronics Recycling
Each spring we offer a recycling event. We accept paperwork to be shredded (on site, while you watch) and your “retired” electronics
Proceeds benefit the Women of Evergreen Businesses Angel Fund.

Adopt a Highway Clean Up
Our stretch of highway is by O’Fallon Park near the Bergen Park King Soopers. We are proud to do our part to keep our community beautiful by collecting trash left behind.

Speed Networking
We shared an evening of networking with other women in the mountain area community. Our speed networking event was not only fun but a great way to meet potential clients and new WEB members!

Share the Love 2017-for Peaceworks
Our Share the Love fund raiser allows ladies to shop for accessories donated by our community. For only $5 per item you can buy as many goodies as you want and the proceeds go to our selected charity. This year we supported PeaceWorks in Bailey.
Dam Duck Derby
W.E.B. sold ducks for the Evergreen Dam Duck Derby.
The Dam Ducky Derby, celebrated its eighth year, annually draws 3,500 visitors to downtown Evergreen with food and festivities throughout downtown, trolley horse rides on Main Street and the Duck Drop at Evergreen Dam.

Community Clean Up
Cleaning up our community is something we take very seriously! O’Fallon Park clean up is always followed by coffee and bagels. We work hard and play hard!
Spread the Love 2017 Event
Broad Stripes and Bright Stars 2015 Event
Broad Stripes and Bright Stars 2013 Event with Project Sanctuary
Excerpt from Katy Moses Higgins website.
A huge thank you from the Women of Evergreen Businesses to everyone who supported the Broad Stripes Bright Stars fundraising event the first week of November, 2014. We had a big – and enthusiastic – turnout from the community, heard some amazing stories, and had a great time with good music and delicious food.
The funds raised from this event went to Project Sanctuary. Project Sanctuary provides a therapeutic, curative, and supportive camp experience for military service members returning from our nation’s wars and conflicts, and their families.

No More Silence 2014 Event
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success! We had almost 200 attendees, and MANY, MANY others who contributed to the event, either by volunteering, cash donations, or silent auction item donations.
Project Sanctuary assists military service members returning from our nation’s wars and conflicts by reconnecting their family unit through a holistic approach, healing the effects of war, treating all members of the family at their level of need, and enabling the service members to reintegrate into their families and communities by sending them on a 6-day retreat in the Rocky Mountains, CO, National ability Center in UT, and Mount Herman in CA at no cost to the participating families. How our fundraising helps: At our last fundraiser, we were able to send 10 families to this retreat. Through Project Sanctuary’s efforts, 90% of couples and families are still together, there is a 100% employment rate of all service men and women who have a job, and there have been ZERO suicides.
Suicide/Veteran’s Crisis Text Line:
838255
The Carson J Spencer Foundation (CJSF) uses innovation to create a world where leaders and communities are committed to sustaining a passion for living in our schools and businesses. Nationally, suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for youth, in adults 70% of people who die by suicide are of working age, and 4 out of every 5 people who die by suicide are men (CDC). How our fundraising helps: By partnering with the youth through “The Fire Within” program which we are passionate that our schools incorporate, the CJSF can help them identify the root causes of suicidal thoughts and provide effective solutions. The CJSF also provides businesses with tools and resources to identify and respond to friends, family members and co-workers who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts or feelings, as well as provide people who have lost a loved one to suicide the age-appropriate grief support tools and educational material to help them heal.
One of the highlights of the evening was when Julie Ballard, Paula Yerks, Bonnie Rose and Jack Ballard sang, “No More Silence”, by the Burns Sisters. Below are the lyrics:
No more silence.
No more silence.
We will shout it out.
No More Silence
—
For the mother,
Sister, brother.
We will shout it out.
No more silence.
—
For our children,
Who will carry on,
We will shout it out.
No more silence.
—
For our friends gone.
Who will carry on?
We will shout it out.
No more silence.
—
we’ll walk side by side,
Together stand and fight
We will shout it out.
NO MORE SILENCE.
